Loomis Ranger Station. Rider 253. The road into Lassen Volcanic National Park and the Loomis Ranger Station was closed to unauthorized vehicular traffic on Thursday, August 15th, the day we attempted to get the shot of the Ranger Station for GT27 due to the Park fire. Two park rangers were at the entrance and could not be swayed into allowing us in while they let in park workers when we were talking to them. They actually said we could get to the ranger station if we came back the next day. That was impossible for us.
